Buying motorbikes priced over RM200k?

Buying motorbikes priced over RM200k?

Do you own a motorcycle license?

My late father sent me to school everyday in his Honda motorcycle. I think that was when I was in my primary 1, 2 and 3. Once upon a time, 4 of us were on the same motorcycle. My little brother in front, my father behind him, followed by the skinny me and then my mother at the back. WOW. Haha. Okay, it was just within the little town Teluk Intan yeah.

However, he did not allow any of us to(my brother, sister and I) to take up motorcycle license. He said, when we are 17, just proceed to take driving license instead. Since I do not have motorcycle license, of course I will not be attracted to buy a motorcycle. However, there are many of these motorcycles which are very expensive and it could even be equivalent to buying 7 Proton Sagas for example. Do read about the two motorcycles below which are over RM200,000.

Article in zigwheels.my: “The BMW M 1000 RR Competition is priced at RM299,500 (on-the-road, without insurance), inclusive of BMW Motorrad Malaysia’s three-year warranty and roadside assistance programme.

Through BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, ownership can start from RM4,178 per month (based on a 90% loan, 7-year tenure). Customers also benefit from the Premium Engine Oil Inclusive, Service Inclusive, and Warranty Extension programmes..”. One major important reason to buy is this:

What is the power output of the BMW M 1000 RR Competition?

Motorcycle first or property first?

Sorry, the question should be motorcycle first or car first when it comes to the above. As soon as you have bought these motorcycles and you are one of the working professionals in Malaysia, that’s the end of property investment for a while…

Truth is, these RM200,000 motorcycles will not likely be the main ride every day yeah. The owners would more likely be riding them with one whole group of friends and usually it will be for a trip from somewhere to somewhere. With these kind of prices, owners are definitely wealthy and they are definitely having the time to enjoy what they have bought. A leisure ride, stopping at nice places for borak-borak with friends and also to have the admiring eyes, these are available when one has achieved a certain level of wealth.

If you are also someone who likes motorcycle, good to aim to reach the level sufficient to buy these motorcycles and enjoy riding them when you like. It should not be a transport from point A to point B. For these, just buy a Proton Saga would do yeah. Yes, Proton Saga please. Do not try to go from Point A to Point B in a ‘sampan-like’ car lah. Wishing all you great success and when you have purchased on of these motorcycles, please let me interview you too. Write to marketing@kopiandproperty.com
