Tropicana signed its first residential project with Banyan Group to build Skypark Kepler, the first and most luxurious branded residences at the 163-acre Lido Waterfront Boulevard township in Johor.
Skypark Kepler will offer global benefits by the Banyan Group including the Banyan Living rental programme and the Banyan Sanctuary Club programme.
To add more value, Tropicana also signed a brand partnership with Samsung and Kohler to offer luxury home fittings, appliances and sanitary wares in Skypark Kepler.

This trend was one-off and total residential property transactions has breached 120,000 units for H1 2024. Perhaps this is also showing the confidence of the people with a rising ringgit, a lot more positive news about data centers, new FDIs etc. Plus the fact that Bursa Malaysia has also been doing pretty well due to the participation of foreign funds too. If we compare H1 2024 to H1 2022 instead, the increase is lower than 6.1 percent (versus H1 2023) but is still a positive 4.98 percent.

Tropicana inked another data centre land deal in Johor Bahru soon after its recent RM383 million land deal with NTT Data Group on 26 August 2024.

Lots of news already have this because it’s a significant news for Johor and of course for investors from across the straits. I do think we need to have continuous news so that everyone can see there’s progress and then we will see a sudden influx. Else, it will slowly trickle in and this may not be the best case scenario.
