My good friend from Hong Kong was very surprised when she saw some shops which open for breakfast close after lunch. Meanwhile some shops which will open till late night opens only at 5pm. She says in Hong Kong, shops stay open the whole day because they need to maximize the earnings to cover the rental. Well, we are lucky that rental has yet to become too high that shops must stay open the whole day just to cover the rental. One day, maybe all shops have to open the whole day. We do not yet have latest news after MyHSR Corporation, the government-owned entity overseeing the HSR’s development closed the January 15 2024 deadline to receive concept proposals from seven local and international consortia. Yes, seven concept proposals which meant even more time to sit down, analyse, discuss, get some professionals to be consultants etc. Now, we have news discussing the benefits of the HSR and how it could be more feasible.

Good news yeah. LRT Penang is now under MRT Corp

They are the company responsible for MRT lines in Malaysia. Kajang Line, Putrajaya Line and right now the MRT Line 3 also known as the MRT3 Circle Line. It is also responsible for the RTS Link between JB and Singapore too. Now, it will also be responsible for LRT Penang. Before this, LRT Penang was under the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP) and the project delivery partner for it was SRS Consortium Sdn Bhd.

MRT Putrajaya Line will be opening in less than 2 weeks!

I am super happy reading this news today. It meant that Klang Valley is becoming even more connected and it’s getting harder for people to use the excuse just to buy a new car. 🙂 I will choose to drive because I prefer the convenience. However, as everyone knows, the petrol subsidy days are coming to an end soon. I have no idea how it will be implemented but perhaps there would be a limit? Anyway, I have an Exora and a Persona. Perhaps national cars are given some advantage in getting the petrol subsidy? Haha. Let’s see.
