Penang’s traffic jam on first bridge is actually getting worse these days. In fact if we have a dinner appointment in Perai (mainland) and we are going to come from Greenlane towards the first bridge, please do start much earlier or our timing may be unpredictable. The reason is a simple one. There are just too many cars in the island and there are just so many roads. As many Penangites would always say, ‘not easy to find a parking.’ This is just a sign that the number of cars are getting way too many.

Good news yeah. LRT Penang is now under MRT Corp

They are the company responsible for MRT lines in Malaysia. Kajang Line, Putrajaya Line and right now the MRT Line 3 also known as the MRT3 Circle Line. It is also responsible for the RTS Link between JB and Singapore too. Now, it will also be responsible for LRT Penang. Before this, LRT Penang was under the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP) and the project delivery partner for it was SRS Consortium Sdn Bhd.

My brother and my two brother-in-laws are still in Penang and all three are engineers. All three has every intention to continue to be in the engineering field in Penang. Penang International Airport expansion project starts 2023

A long time ago, some people said that instead of building KLIA, the government should just focus on expanding the Subang airport. Fortunately, the plan for KLIA proceeded because the Prime Minister then just went ahead. Haha. Today, KLIA is said to need future expansions too especially when we look at the sudden increase in passengers and suddenly everyone needed to wait for hours to pass the immigration.
