80 percent of units sold in one hour. Really?

The very last time I have ever experienced losing my potential property was way back in 2009. I lost it by 5 seconds. I was at the sales gallery of a property developer. I was choosing my unit. Then, I told the sales person, I would like to take Level 5. The sales person said, let me book for you and that’s when he found out that his team-mate had just booked that unit for someone else a few seconds ago. I was slow by 5 seconds.

Johor is the next economic powerhouse

Actually, this is not a new news. Yea, no typo or grammatical errors yeah. New news. 🙂 Johor is right next to Singapore. Singapore wants to grow its economy further but without expanding the resources for people who needs a place to stay? Or to expand the economy and thinks the new company will buy a huge office in Singapore or hire the hundreds of talents all from within just Singapore? Get real yeah.

11,000 overhang properties in Johor, better times ahead?

With the Johor – Singapore Special Economic Zone (SEZ) receiving a lot of attention lately, I think the property market attractiveness in Johor should increase. 10,000 passenger per hour means Johor Bahru better be ready!

I have been to Johor Bahru for so many times I have forgotten how many times. Once upon a time, I fly to JB every other week as I was also leading a team there. Have stayed in so many different hotels, went to view so many different properties, bought so many things from the Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) that until today I still think fondly of my time there. It’s also one place which is amazing for Singaporeans because Singaporeans get to visit a lot more places beyond just the tiny island or the same beach or the same malls over and over and over again.

Visit Pulau Satu to buy duty-free goods!

Duty-free is always a good attraction for many who wants to buy goods which have high tax rate. This is also why many people travel to Langkawi and due to this, there are many duty-free shops in Langkawi which meant that prices become even more cheaper due to competition. I am not sure what’s the tax rate for luggage or chocolates actually but what I can safely say is that these two items are much cheaper than the typical prices here in KL or even versus Penang. Now, we have one more place to go and buy these duty-free goods.

Malaysia’s real estate comeback for Selangor and Johor

I stay in Selangor today and my children are studying in Kuala Lumpur. I am of the opinion that both Selangor and Kuala Lumpur continue to see a steady growth in the property transaction numbers. In my conversation with a real estate agent (who’s about to get her REA in 1 year, maybe), she shared that her focus is now on properties which are priced from RM500,000 to RM700,000 because that seems to be the sweet spot right now.
