Ipoh is really the real food haven yeah

We do not have Penang char koay teow (go there to eat yeah) but our Ipoh Kai See Hor Fun is definitely more flavourful and has better ingredients than Koay Teow Theng somewhere yeah. Take a look.

Our Dry Curry Mee and Curry Mee comes with really good ingredients and super delicious too. Definitely not a second fiddle to curry mee all over Malaysia too. Take a look.

Availability of kopitiam and cafe and restaurants? It’s called ‘eat till you drop.’ Once upon a time, I brought a friend and by the end of the day, she said, “walao, you made me eat until I am too full and have to stop.” Here one such listing in wanderlog.com Top 50 best cafes and coffee shops in Ipoh

Plus the White Coffee which is definitely from ipoh despite all these other towns, cities, states trying to claim they also got. Haha.

Okay, enough of things to make me hungry. Focus on today’s news. Ipoh (okay, quite near to Ipoh lah) will have ESCAPE Ipoh opening in April 2024.

Article in thestar.com.my The 59-hectare adventure-themed park known as the Nature Inspirational Park in Ipoh (Escape Ipoh) here will open to the public in April.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said Escape Ipoh, located next to the iconic TT5 Tin Dredge, will be a major attraction for this year’s Visit Perak Year.

He said the opening of the park is expected to attract at least 200,000 domestic and foreign tourists to the state annually, Bernama reported.

“The strategic location of Escape Ipoh, which is close to Kellie’s Castle, Silverlakes Village Outlet, LAT Gallery, Gua Tempurung, Kinta Nature Park and The Treasure @Taman Herba Gopeng, can be considered as a complement to the plan to make Greater Ipoh (spanning Batu Gajah-Ipoh-Kuala Kangsar) a preferred tourist destination,” he said after the park opening here yesterday. (Successful) Theme park is a catalyst

When we look around these days, we would notice that some developers have a theme park within their huge township. By the way, the theme park is NOT just to target the residents yeah. Generally, if the theme park does well, then more shops could open because visitors would also need a place to have a meal before or after the theme park visit. Usually these F&B outlets are within the vicinity of the theme park too.

More visitors to theme parks, more visitors to the F&B outlets. More visitors to F&B outlets, more would open and this will benefit all the residents there as their number continues to grow. The cycle continues until this new township becomes a mature township where residents could easily find everything they need. Meanwhile, more potential buyers would now be attracted to buy because the township is no longer in the early phase where there’s nothing much.

I wish ESCAPE Ipoh will attract the 200,000 new tourists which the MB stated

Imagine 200,000 people spending their money in Ipoh or nearby Ipoh. That’s easily RM200 (accommodation) + RM100 (food) + RM100 (whatever souvenirs). RM400 * 200,000 people = RM80 million. Times this to the economic multiplier of 4 and we have RM320 million into the economy of Ipoh and the surrounding. Good lah. Ig you are also an Ipohan like me, please do share with the world how wonderful Ipoh is. Thank you!

Please do share if you believe others could benefit too. Thank you.
