Renting a place and budget of just RM1,500 – RM2,000?

These days, renting is quite easy. Choices are aplenty and it depends on just the budget that we are willing or capable of paying. I think in order to stay at a place with certain facilities, probably furnished partially and has good amenities within the area, RM1,500 – RM2,000 monthly rental is considered a reasonable number. Sorry, no pent-houses with this budget yeah.

Information are from propertyguru.com.my as at 21st July 2024. We look at just the ‘Kuala Lumpur’ state. Price range for the rental is RM1,500 – RM2,000. No further checks are done. Feel free to go to the site and find the property and contact the agent for further viewing before deciding yeah.

Need is better than want. Think and Decide.

If I need to decide between a smaller unit but fully furnished versus a bigger unit but partially furnished as both are similar in rental, I would take the smaller unit and fully furnished instead. I am someone who needs my time for what I want to do and it is not to go and buy additional things for a rented place because when I move, it’s unlikely that I will bring those along actually.

If I need to decide between a unit further away but bigger or a small unit but nearer, instead of looking at the distance, I will use google map and look at the duration of travel for weekdays instead. Whether working for an organisation or we are a boss of our own company, duration is more important than distance because our working time or meetings is always on weekdays. Weekends wise, rest lah. So that we can work harder during weekdays.

If I need to decide between a unit nearby the MRT / LRT versus a unit which is not near the MRT / LRT, I will ask myself if I am more likely to drive or taking the MRT / LRT. Truth is, if I am driving most of the time, better get a unit where the car parking space is near to my unit versus a unit which is near the MRT / LRT BECAUSE usually these units will be higher priced already because of demand from those who wants to take public transport daily.

Happy choosing!
