Launch of Taman Tasik Ardea Supports the Aspirations for Affordable Housing Outlined in Perak Sejahtera 2030

Ipoh, Perak – 3 May 2025 – Majuperak Holdings Berhad (MHB), a subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk), today launched its latest housing project, Taman Tasik Ardea, a planned residential community located in the district of Sungai Terap, Batu Gajah.

The launching ceremony was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, the Chief Minister of Perak, who also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to realising Perakians aspirations of owning affordable houses through the Flagship Prosperous Housing Programme (Program Flagship Perumahan Sejahtera) under
the framework of Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan.

This project was developed on the land owned by a subsidiary of PKNPk namely Syarikat MajuPerak Berhad (SMB), and it reflects the state government’s long-term strategy to enhance access to quality housing for its target groups.

With a gross development value (GDV) of RM141 million, this project consists of 601 residential units, which will be developed in the three phases – Phase 1 (161 units), Phase 2 (264 units), and Phase 3 (176 units).

With the total area of 114 acres, Taman Tasik Ardea is carefully planned to offer a single-storey terrace homes, specially designed to fulfill the needs of first-time home buyers, young families and those who are seeking a peaceful environment surrounded by natural greenery. The selling price starts as low as RM90,000 for Rumah Perakku 1 up to RM250,000 for Rumah Perakku 3. The units range from 1,075 to 1,275 square feet for a 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom home. Open units are also available to non-Bumiputera buyers.

According to Mr. Muhammad Yazurin Sallij, Group Chief Executive Officer of Majuperak Holdings Berhad, “Taman Tasik Ardea proves that MHB remains focused in delivering development that not only prioritise commercial value but also provides significant social impact to the local community. We are expecting the full completion of the development by the third quarter of 2026. More importantly, each unit is thoughtfully designed with careful considerations of the daily needs, current lifestyle and the financial affordability of the people.”

The Chief Minister said, “The state government consistently prioritise the provi sion of affordable and quality houses, and Taman Tasik Ardea is a clear manifestation of this effort. It is not merely a physical development project, but a long-term investment in building a more stable and comfortable life for the rakyat. We are confident that through projects like this, the government’s intention to see more Perak residents owning their own homes can be realised, particularly among the B40 and M40 groups. Furthermore, it serves as a catalyst for local economic growth and sustainable development of the Batu Gajah region.”

Also present, Datuk Redza Rafiq bin Abdul Razak, Executive Chairman of Majuperak Holdings Berhad who is also the Chief Executive of PKNPk commented, “This project reflects our strategy to optimise the state’s assets and to make the development property as an effective instrument to generate the well-being of the people. Taman Tasik Ardea is the result of an integrated approach between state development policies and private sector commitments. The launch ceremony was also attended by YB Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi bin Abdul Rahim, Perak State Secretary; YB Dato’ Mohd Zaki bin Mahyudin, Perak State Financial Officer; YB Puan Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, Perak State Housing and Local Government EXCO; YBhg. Dato’ Mohamad Fariz bin Mohamad Hanip; Tuan Zulhisham bin Ahmad Shukori, Kinta District Officer and Tuan Mohamad Razif bin Ramli, Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Batu Gajah.

Following the launch, distinguished guests including representatives of from government agencies, the media and prospective buyers were also taken on a tour to visit the completed show unit to view the interior design, practical layout, and the living environment offered – further reinforcing the confidence in Majuperak’s quality
and commitment to deliver affordable dream houses for the people of Perak.
