EPF dividend expected to be up to 6.5 percent?
Fantastic set of returns forecasted
Here, read what the economists are saying about the potential dividend return from our hardworking Employees Provident Fund (EPF). They have the expertise to do a good analysis. How they do analysis is to look at numbers. Statistics and that’s why they have come up with a forecast which is fantastic. Probably some help from artificial intelligence to do a trend analysis instead of calculators too.
Article in freemalaysiatoday.com The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is expected to declare a dividend rate of between 6.3% and 6.5% for 2025, according to Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Afzanizam Rashid.
He said the retirement fund remains on course for a respectable dividend payout for the year, based on its nine-month performance in 2025, which saw an 11% increase in gross investment income.
“The EPF’s conservative and responsible investment selection has enabled it to optimise its risk-return trade-off,” he said.
“Its exposure to global markets, totalling about 38%, along with a greater allocation to fixed income assets, provides a well-balanced asset mix and geographical diversification. This helps minimise portfolio risk while maximising investment returns.” Article in freemalaysiatoday.com
Did you know you can enjoy more with self-contribution?

Who can “SIMPAN”?

Got limit or not? Answer is Yes

One more question for those who are very close to 55 years old (I am not that far from this number…)
What happens if I make a i-Simpan after reaching the age of 55?
All contributions received after members reach the age of 55 will be credited to their Akaun Emas and can only be withdrawn when they reach the age of 60 through Age 60 Withdrawal. However, member are not permitted to make contributions after reaching the age of 75.
All information about the I-Simpan comes from: https://www.kwsp.gov.my/en/member/savings/self-contribution
Seriously, it’s not the highest but it’s very attractive dividend yeah
Some say they can earn more from the stock market. Sure, go ahead. Some say, they can earn more from property investments. Sure, go ahead. For those who may not have the expertise to do much investments on their own and the only one they know could be Fixed Deposit, then this I-Simpan can be part of that savings so that we can have higher returns too. Below are the returns over the past years:

Lowest was 5.2 percent and highest was 6.75 percent. Who knows, EPF wants to continue the Feel-Good factor and announce something which is even better than the forecasts? I certainly am wishing for it too. All the best to all of us who are EPF members.
