Enjoy! MRT Putrajaya Line – FREE RIDE until 31st March 2023
They say one picture tells a thousand words. Take a look a the photo below from the MRT Corp’s Facebook page yeah. Highlighted in yellow is “Free Ride for MRT Putrajaya Line starting 16th March until 31st March 2023 – PM Anwar.” It is a not a lot of money for two weeks but it is still a lot of good savings for meals, kopi-O and even some supper of roti canai! I am not sure if I would have the time but will see how to bring my kids for their second ride since it’s free.

Some details on MRT Putrajaya Line
The length of MRT Putrajaya Line is 57.7 km. 44.2km is elevated (yes, when you drive on the road, it’s usually on top of you) and 13.5km of the alignment within the city centre is underground. There are 9 stations which are underground. It has a total of 36 stations. It starts at Kwasa Damansara (a new township next to Kota Damansara and Sungai Buloh) and it ends at Putrajaya Sentral. The Putrajaya Line has 17 stations with Park & Ride facilities, with a total of 6,416 bays. The MRT Putrajaya Line has 49 units of electric trains and each train set has four cars with a capacity of 1,200 passengers. It’s a fully automatic driverless system, but the train can be driven manually if needed.
