PRESS RELEASE: ACCOR AND TROPICANA  CORPORATION BERHAD SIGN  LANDMARK AGREEMENT TO LAUNCH THE WORLD’S LARGEST MERCURE LIVING IN MALAYSIA

Petaling Jaya – Accor, a global hospitality leader, and Tropicana Corporation Berhad  (“Tropicana”), one of Malaysia’s leading property developers, have signed a hotel  management agreement for Mercure Living Genting Highlands, bringing together  global hospitality expertise and sustainable township living to introduce a new extended

stay offering in one of Malaysia’s most established leisure destinations. This signing further strengthens Tropicana’s expansion into the hospitality sector, supporting its  strategy to create recurring income streams while offering homeowners a professionally  managed branded hospitality asset backed by Accor’s global standards, operational  expertise and international loyalty ecosystem.

Mercure Living Genting Highlands will be integrated into the TwinPines Serviced Suites  at Tropicana Grandhill, a 112-acre wellness-focused precinct within the 596-acre  Tropicana WindCity township in Genting Highlands. The integration of the internationally recognised Mercure brand enhances Tropicana WindCity’s positioning as a premier  highland destination while offering buyers a turnkey lifestyle solution professionally  managed to Accor’s global standards. Scheduled to open in 2028, the development will  comprise 1,443 fully furnished suites designed to meet the evolving needs of long-stay  guests, leisure travellers and homeowners.

The signing reflects a shared commitment by Accor and Tropicana to deliver high-quality  hospitality experiences and long-term value within a destination that continues to attract  strong domestic and international demand. Combining the comforts of residential living  with the services of an internationally recognised hospitality brand, Mercure Living  Genting Highlands is expected to further strengthen the destination’s appeal while  supporting the continued growth of Tropicana WindCity.

Designed for travellers seeking greater flexibility and comfort, Mercure Living offers  spacious accommodation, kitchen and dining facilities, and lifestyle amenities that make  it easy to maintain everyday routines while remaining connected to the destination.  Inspired by Mercure’s commitment to local discovery, the development will encourage  guests to experience the unique character, culture and natural surroundings of Genting  Highlands.

Garth Simmons, Chief Operating Officer, Premium, Midscale & Economy Division, Accor  Asia, said: “Mercure Living Genting Highlands represents an exciting opportunity to  expand our extended-stay offering in Malaysia through a collaboration with one of the  country’s leading developers. As travellers increasingly seek accommodation that  combines flexibility, comfort and authentic local experiences, we believe this  development will be well positioned to meet those needs while contributing to the  continued growth of Genting Highlands as a leisure destination.”

Commenting on the partnership, Ixora Ang, Managing Director, Marketing & Sales and  Business Development of Tropicana, said: “As a township developer since 1979, we have  consistently prioritised sustainability, long-term value creation and the development of  recurring income streams. Integrated within TwinPines Serviced Suites, our first green

certified development in Genting Highlands, this offering reflects our commitment to  redefining smart, comfortable and sustainable living. By combining Tropicana’s expertise  in integrated township development with Accor’s global hospitality platform, we are  creating a distinctive branded residence experience that enhances lifestyle value.  Mercure Living Genting Highlands embodies our vision of delivering future-ready  communities that seamlessly integrate wellness, connectivity and quality living, while  contributing to the continued growth of Genting Highlands as one of Malaysia’s premier  leisure and tourism destinations.”

The project is designed to meet growing demand for professionally managed hospitality  and extended-stay accommodation. Homeowners will benefit from the strength of an  internationally recognised hospitality brand, access to Accor’s global distribution network  and the advantages of ALL Accor, one of the world’s leading hospitality loyalty  programmes.

The development combines residential comfort with hotel services and operational  expertise, creating long-term value for homeowners and guests.

Mercure Living Genting Highlands will feature fully furnished suites with kitchen and  dining facilities, alongside an all-day dining restaurant, executive lounge, multipurpose  function hall, heated swimming pool, fitness centre and a range of lifestyle amenities  designed for longer stays.

Located within Tropicana Grandhill, the development forms part of Tropicana WindCity,  a 596-acre integrated township master planned across three distinct freehold precincts.  Positioned within the cool highland setting of Genting Highlands, the township brings  together wellness-focused living, hospitality, lifestyle and recreational offerings to create  a vibrant destination for residents and visitors alike. Through developments such as  Tropicana Grandhill, Tropicana Paradise and Tropicana Avalon, Tropicana WindCity is  designed to support sustainable long-term growth while enhancing Genting Highlands’  appeal as a destination for leisure, investment and modern living.
