Tropicana Aman, the holistic development by Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or “Group”), is named the Best Housing Masterplan in Malaysia at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2024. This is a pinnacle achievement for Tropicana Aman, a resort-style, community-focused township located on 863 acres of premium land in Kota Kemuning. Over 11 years ago, Tropicana began working on the blueprint for Tropicana Aman with the vision of creating a resort-style, community-focused township. The township, a walking and biking community, is designed to enhance residents’ quality of life by offering modern and comfortable residential developments, commercial spaces to meet every day needs, and expansive outdoor areas.
The first phase, Arahsia Residences, was launched in 2015, two years after the concept was conceived and achieved a 100% take-up within the first month. At Tropicana Aman, numerous initiatives were undertaken to minimise environmental impact during construction and operations. For example, leaves weighing approximately 1 ton, were collected every 4 to 5 days for offsite composting, while sustainable materials such as recycled concrete and steel were used to conserve resources. Low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) adhesives and paints were incorporated to improve indoor air quality, and water efficiency was prioritised with rainwater harvesting tanks for landscape irrigation and sanitary wares that reduce water wastage by up to 40%.
Energy-saving measures include 4-star-rated air conditioning systems, low-energy lighting that consumes 70% less energy, and efficient lighting for common areas. A robust recycling programme further reduces landfill contributions and promotes sustainability. Complementing these efforts, Tropicana organised impactful CSR events, such as the Buka Puasa CSR Programme, A Joyous Christmas Charity Event for Children from orphanages, the Tropicana Go-Go-FIT Cycle event, the Ti-Ratana Foundation CSR Programme and various other charity events, reinforcing its commitment to community well-being and environmental stewardship.
