Tropicana Aman Wins FIABCI’S Best Housing Masterplan 2024 In Malaysia

Tropicana Aman, the holistic development by Tropicana  Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or “Group”), is named the Best Housing Masterplan in  Malaysia at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2024. This is a pinnacle achievement for  Tropicana Aman, a resort-style, community-focused township located on 863 acres of premium land in Kota Kemuning. Over 11 years ago, Tropicana began working on the blueprint  for Tropicana Aman with the vision of creating a resort-style, community-focused township.  Driven by a commitment to promoting health and well-being, the development philosophy  emphasises a balanced lifestyle, integrating abundant green spaces and comprehensive  amenities. The township, a walking and biking community, is designed to enhance residents’  quality of life by offering modern and comfortable residential developments, commercial  spaces to meet every day needs, and expansive outdoor areas.

The first phase, Arahsia Residences, was launched in 2015, two years after the concept was  conceived and achieved a 100% take-up within the first month. Other completed and sold-out phases include Bayan Residences, Cheria Residences, Dalia Residences, Elemen Residences,  Freesia Residences, Gemala Residences, Aman 1 urban home, Triana shop offices and Sinaria  shop offices. The township is easily accessible via Kesas, SKVE, Elite and other major highways.  Within the compound, one will find 100 ft wide tree-lined boulevards. Facilities-wise, there is  an impressive community leisure and recreational hub including a 50m swimming pool,  gymnasium, kids’ playground, tennis, badminton, basketball court, a banquet hall and retail  lots. Educational centres nearby include Tenby International School, SJK(C) Bukit Fraser,  Kindyland and other international and government schools.

“The award not only recognises the meticulous planning and innovative concept behind our  developments but also validates our commitment to creating harmonious and eco-conscious  communities. With the emphasis on integrating green spaces, accessible amenities and  modern lifestyle offerings, Tropicana has proven its ability to design vibrant neighbourhoods  that prioritise both environmental needs and residents’ wellbeing. Aligned with our ongoing  mantra to ‘Redefine the Art of Living’, Tropicana aspires to continue leading the way in  sustainable living, building confidence and trust among its stakeholders,” shared Din Tan,  Group Managing Director of Tropicana.

“Building townships since 1979, Tropicana has broadened its position from a resort-style  developer to a sustainable community planner anchored on its 8 development DNAs and 3  ESG pillars. Our approach focuses on creating a well-connected development offering timeless  designs backed by many facilities and amenities. Our goal is to future-proof our businesses  through our constant engagement with our stakeholders, understand market demand as well  as roll out marketing and sales amplification strategy through various online and offline  initiatives.” added Din.

TROPICANA’S ESG PRACTICES

Tropicana’s steadfast commitment to ESG practices bolsters its reputation as a leading master  developer. At Tropicana Aman, numerous initiatives were undertaken to minimise  environmental impact during construction and operations. For example, leaves weighing  approximately 1 ton, were collected every 4 to 5 days for offsite composting, while sustainable  materials such as recycled concrete and steel were used to conserve resources. Low Volatile  Organic Compound (VOC) adhesives and paints were incorporated to improve indoor air  quality, and water efficiency was prioritised with rainwater harvesting tanks for landscape  irrigation and sanitary wares that reduce water wastage by up to 40%.

Energy-saving measures include 4-star-rated air conditioning systems, low-energy lighting that  consumes 70% less energy, and efficient lighting for common areas. A robust recycling  programme further reduces landfill contributions and promotes sustainability.  Complementing these efforts, Tropicana organised impactful CSR events, such as the Buka  Puasa CSR Programme, A Joyous Christmas Charity Event for Children from orphanages, the  Tropicana Go-Go-FIT Cycle event, the Ti-Ratana Foundation CSR Programme and various other  charity events, reinforcing its commitment to community well-being and environmental  stewardship.

This year’s award makes it a back-to-back win for Tropicana after Tropicana Gardens was  named the best mixed-use development in Malaysia at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award  2023.
