Singapore – Subang – Singapore route starts 1st September 2024. Let’s fly!

Flight is one hour but the travel is 2 hours?

Everyone I know says KLIA 1 and 2 is too far away from the city centre. Actually that’s common and that’s the only way we could build such a huge airport in the first place. However, that’s not up for debate. Today, we look at travel duration. Do you love to drive for 2 hours (to and fro) in order to take a one hour flight?

I know the feeling too as I have travelled via both the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah airport aka Subang Airport and also both the KLIA 1 and KLIA 2 airports. This is especially true when the flight time is just an hour or less but we need to drive an hour to reach the airport and then drive an hour to reach home. What if the drive to and fro the airport is now halved? Interested? How about flying to Singapore?

Article in themalaysianreserve.com Singapore Airlines’ low-cost carrier Scoot has launched daily flights to Subang effective Sept 1, providing travellers with an alternative option to conveniently travel between the republic and Kuala Lumpur.

The airline will operate the Singapore-Subang route seven times a week on its Airbus A320 aircraft. Flight schedules are subject to government and regulatory approvals or changes.

Bookings for flights to and from Subang are available from today via Scoot’s website and mobile app, and progressively through other channels, with all-in Economy class fares starting from S$83 and RM108, inclusive of taxes. Do read more here: Article in themalaysianreserve.com

Now, travelling to Kuala Lumpur for a holiday is quick and easy for Singaporeans

Fly here after work, arrive here in time for dinner. Then, visit a few places, eat many different good food, shop a bit at the Premium Outlet and for non-Muslims, perhaps a visit to the casino just for fun and more. Leave on Sunday after lunch and arrive in Singapore for dinner. Life can be convenient and trips can be hassle free. In fact, it’s easier and quicker than to drive across the straits during a holiday weekend too. There are no jams in the sky… 🙂
