This outstanding achievement serves as a testament to the Company’s credibility and establishes Sime Darby Property as a formidable force in the global property market. Its City of Elmina was named the World Gold winner in the Masterplan category for its holistic design that demonstrates how nature can coexist with a well-planned development; while Cantara Residences, a family-oriented residential development located in the renowned township of Ara Damansara was bestowed with the World Silver award for the Residential Mid-Rise category.
Organised by Fédération Internationale des Administrateurs de Bien-Conselis Immobiliers (‘FIABCI”), the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards recognise projects that best demonstrate excellence throughout all real estate disciplines that went into their construction.
“Sime Darby Property is on a journey of discovery to explore concepts that push the boundaries in the world of property development. The award-winning City of Elmina was designed for multi-generational living with a green-inspired community. The masterplan incorporates all facets of life based on the ‘eight pillars of wellness’ as a guiding principle and is in line with Mercer’s Quality of Living Survey’s evaluation of liveability around the world. The 6,500-acre City of Elmina has expansive parklands that are supported by the 2,700-acre Bukit Cherakah Forest Reserve and is planned with a 90km interconnected jogging and cycling track as well as a 300-acre Central Park that has hosted numerous sizable community celebrations and events.
Cantara Residences, which consists of four towers housing 888 serviced residences and 13 Green Building Index (GBI) Gold-certified retail units, sets a new standard for sustainable and connected living. Our focus extends beyond property development as we strive to cultivate sustainable communities that enrich lives for generations to come,” said Dato’ Azmir. He added: “We thank FIABCI for acknowledging our potential and look forward to constantly delivering liveability and sustainability for the benefit of our stakeholders.”
