Sabah-Malaysia My Second Home (Sabah-MM2H) will have its own version
Who’s actually in charge when it comes to the Sabah-MM2H programme? Is it the Motac minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing or is it Sabah’s Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christine Liew? The former is a federal minister and the latter would be a state minister. It seems that it has now been decided as per reported.
Article in malaymail.com Motac minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing had agreed to empower the state with its foreign residency programme after meeting with Sabah’s Tourism, Culture and Environment minister Datuk Christina Liew in Kuala Lumpur today according to a statement by the latter.
“This means Sabah can come up with its own terms and conditions for Sabah-MM2H.
“We will be empowered to process applications and issue the MM2H pass to successful applicants.
“And I was assured that the enforcement task would be passed to us so that we could come up with our version,” Liew said.
“My ministry will appoint representatives to handle participants’ applications,” she said. Please do read in full here: Article in malaymail.com
Sabah-MM2H guidelines would now be different and definitely may be more attractive too
Kota Kinabalu is a very good place for retirees. It’s a city and it has beautiful islands nearby, it has the Mount Kinabalu, it has the sufficient entertainment and amenities and it certainly has many property choices too. Let’s not forget that the seafood is not just fresh but also cheap when compared to most of these places the participants would be coming from.
In fact, Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) is second in terms of passenger numbers behind only KLIA. Now, let’s make it even more international and hopefully it becomes a great choice for more retirees too.
