My daughter and son are both into online games. They play 2 hours a day because their mother aka my wife does not allow them to play indiscriminately. Perhaps I should show her this article about teenagers winning RM1.24 million in esports? I know her reply. “How many out of all the hundreds or thousands or even tens of thousands who are playing are able to achieve this level?”

Once upon a time, I had to wait to catch an express bus from Johor back to KL and it was delayed. I waited for many hours until wee hours in the morning at the bus station. It was so tiring, yet I could not really sleep as I have my luggage with me and I do not feel safe enough to sleep. Walking is not an option, I was tired. Sitting is not an option, I was tired. Sleeping is not an option because sleeping while being seated is so rough and tough.

Just 2 weeks ago, I lost some money in the Crown casino in Melbourne. Sigh… Haha. It’s okay. Win some and lose some, so just let it be. Well, casinos are big business and New York State has just approved 3 new ones. What’s in in for the state of New York? Imagine earning US$1 billion (RM4.13 billion) every year from gaming taxes alone…

I do wonder why this is needed because if I was the tenant, I would have already seen the place. So, when I signed, I am fully aware what I was signing myself into. Well, if the tenant is now able to provide a two months’ notice versus having to pay until the end of the contract, what would be the avenues available to the landlord? Can they also give the same two months’ notice and tell the tenant to leave?

My brother-in-law told me a few days ago that the hotel prices in Japan has dropped. He is flying to Japan in January with my sister. He was telling me as he was booking his hotel rooms. I will also be flying to Nagoya during the same periods too but I have already fully booked all my hotels. Too bad… Then, I went online to read some news and I come across a piece of news which revealed the reason for the drop in hotel room. One country is cancelling 1,900 flights in December alone. Yes, inflation should be a worry for all of us. It does not stop even in the BEST governed countries of the world. In the property investment world, many people are saying that a fully paid RM500,000 priced property bought today will actually give the owner a lot less in actual purchasing power from the property, even if the price at the end of 30 years have risen to RM1,000,000. Plus the fact that many personal finance experts (who owns no property) are also saying the same.

The whole Kuala Lumpur (not Greater KL) has a population of slightly over 2 million. Well, on average 3.5 million foreign tourists are in Malaysia every month. If we assume just 70 percent of these 3.5 million were in Kuala Lumpur at some point in that one month, it meant that there were MORE foreign tourists in Kuala Lumpur than the total population. Why is this number amazing, one wonders? Well, these foreign tourists are definitely enjoying food. In other words, restaurants have extra business.

When we ask someone negative about the economic situation, the response will always be negative. When we ask someone who’s positive about the economic situation, the response will be positive. Just as if we ask the property developer what do they think about the property market, do we believe they will say it is all gloom and doom? Instead of asking and getting some ‘biased’ answers, how about we just look at numbers, nothing but actual numbers of achievements in the market?

Livelihood may mean buying wholemeal loaf of bread (not white yeah) and having it for 3-4 mornings as breakfast. Bringing it to office, eating it with the free coffee provided in the office. Maybe buying a tray of eggs and include a boiled egg with the bread every morning. Cost effective and yet nutritious and certainly can ensure the person reduce the expenses for food.
