Press Release: Every Paw Belongs- IJM Land Turns Care into Action
IJM Land’s Paws to Home brought residents and animal welfare partners together at S2 Heights Aman to promote adoption, responsible ownership and practical action for rescued animals.
Pets find their place in a home through the moments that become part of daily life.
The greeting at the door.
The walks shared with family.
The comfort of a familiar presence.
That bond brings joy and companionship. It also asks for responsibility: safety, commitment and a willingness to protect the animals who depend on us.
At Paws to Home – Where Every Paw Finds a Place to Belong, IJM Land turned that responsibility into practical action. The programme brought together residents, families, prospective adopters and animal welfare partners at S2 Heights Aman for an evening centred on adoption, education, services and giving.
“An animal’s affection comes with a duty to protect its well-being,” said Datuk Chai Kian Soon, Chief Operating Officer of IJM Land. “Paws to Home gave people a direct way to act on that duty, whether by considering adoption, learning about responsible ownership, contributing supplies or standing with the organisations that work tirelessly for rescued animals.”
FROM COMPASSION TO ACTION
The Pet Adoption Drive sat at the heart of the programme, giving visitors an opportunity to meet rescued animals and better understand what a lifelong commitment to adoption entails. NS Happy Paws and FurryKids Safehaven shared their expertise in rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming, helping prospective adopters make informed decisions.
Each successful adopter received a Paws to New Beginning Adoption Celebration Kit, comprising an IJM Land felt bag, adoption certificate and plushie keychain to mark the start of a new journey with their adopted companion.
Execute AWA, a national animal welfare movement and advocacy campaign in Malaysia, led the Educational Corner, where visitors gained practical insights into animal welfare, responsible pet ownership and humane stray management. The animal welfare team, comprising NS Happy Paws and Execute AWA, also assisted visitors with pet licensing applications and registration. Selected pet care services, including vaccination, neutering and microchipping, were made available through veterinary partners during the event.
The CSR Giving Corner provided a simple way for visitors to contribute, with pet food and essential supplies collected for local animal welfare organisations. Charity merchandise offered an additional avenue to support the well-being of rescued animals.
This support translated into meaningful outcomes on site. 6 rescued animals found new homes, while 31 pets received neutering services and 12 pet licence applications were facilitated during the event. Additional pet owners also brought their animals for vaccination and microchipping, extending the programme’s focus on preventive care and responsible ownership.
Families took part in the Paw Print Keepsake Workshop, Clay Frame Art Workshop and instant photo booth, while children enjoyed a colouring activity at the Sales Gallery. The Pet Bazaar featured pet food, treats, accessories, grooming and pet therapy services, giving visitors an opportunity to discover a range of products and services for their pets.
Food trucks and beverage vendors further contributed to the lively atmosphere, offering a variety of refreshments and dining options throughout the evening. At the Sales Gallery, complimentary popcorn was also served to visitors.
Visitors were also introduced to the lifestyle offerings at S2 Heights Aman and across the wider Seremban 2 township, including an Ikon Residences scale model display. The event also highlighted IJM Land’s ongoing Shock & Shiok campaign, offering eligible homebuyers exciting rewards including complimentary solar panels for selected homes and the chance to win one of three Proton e.MAS 5 cars.
DESIGNED FOR PETS AND PEOPLE
Paws to Home also highlighted S2 Heights Aman’s dedicated Pet Zone, a purpose-designed outdoor space where pet owners and their pets can spend time together and connect with fellow pet owners in the neighbourhood.
Beyond the Pet Zone, S2 Heights Aman is shaped around an outdoor way of life. Green spaces, parks and pathways create room for children to play, families to unwind and neighbours to connect. Batiq and Sutera homes form part of this nature-led setting, supporting a more active and balanced rhythm of family life, well-being and shared everyday moments.
Through Paws to Home, IJM Land brought together residents, families, pet owners, the wider community and animal welfare partners to turn compassion into meaningful action. From adoption and responsible pet ownership to education and support for animal welfare organisations, the programme demonstrated how collective efforts can contribute to safer and more caring environments for both people and animals.
Affection for animals finds its fullest expression in everyday commitment. Love and responsibility must move together.
