Coffee. Cafe. Not Luxury. Delivery. Simple Formula. Property Investment Thoughts?
I was meeting a valuer who has over 6,000 followers yesterday evening. He gave a presentation just last week during the Malaysia Land Conference and I learnt a lot of new knowledge from him. I have known him for some time but has not heard him speak and I think more organisations need to invite him to share his wealth of knowledge. He is Henry Heng. Follow him on LinkedIn here: Henry Heng, MBA, Valuer (Asset and Business). We met at a brand which is today my favourite as I could just order and then drive by the cafe to pick up my coffee. It’s ZUS COFFEE.
No links within this article to buy ZUS yeah. Do download their app and buy directly. This post is also not sponsored by them too.
The model by ZUS is so simple and their motto? It goes directly into the heart and mind of many coffee drinkers including me. By the way, I asked the barista how many cups they serve every day and his answer shows me that perhaps I need to consider buying their shares if they ever get listed. Here’s their motto:

It’s a CAFE. So, it’s comfortable and one can be there even to work.
Charging outlets are available under that blue bench. Yes, I was there once for many hours too. the air-conditioning is super cold! It’s like electricity is too cheap maybe. Haha.

Eating good food can also be reasonable price
Do note that you have a nice environment to eat these food yeah. Even in a typical mamak restaurant, a Nasi Lemak set with Ayam Rendang will definitely be around this price and there’s no air-conditioning, the floor more oily, the seats are less comfy and I could go on but you get the picture. The price is reasonable.

This is why I think that American chain also need to rethink
I can drink close to 2 lattes if I drink in ZUS instead of the global brand. Coffee should be a necessity and not a luxury. Okay, even ZUS can still be a luxury yeah. Haha. Here’s that coffee calculations article I wrote earlier too. All about money!! Let’s just talk coffee today (click to read)
One cup of latte per week is still easily RM520 per year yeah. 🙂 RM520 is equivalent to two return flight tickets from KL to Langkawi. Happy thinking and deciding especially if it’s all about balancing the financial matters.
