Chinese New Year SOP – Please follow yeah, for our safety

Chinese New Year SOP just announced by Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. He said this is part of the standard operating procedure for Chinese New Year celebrations drawn up by the National Security Council.. Image from thestar.com.my as below.

#1 – Reunion Dinners is only for family members living in the same house.

#2 – No cross border, thus no visits are allowed. (I do believe this meant KL is KL and Selangor is Selangor.)

#3 – Prayers at temples are also not allowed except for five of the temple’s committee members

CNY SOP

End of announcement. Of course soon we should have even more details. As of now, I think it is very safe to assume, reunion dinner is best to be served within one’s own home with family members staying in the same house. I am just grateful that all my close family members are safe at home and we could still have family zooms. Let’s look forward to the next Chinese New Year then. Stay safe and stay home. Cheers.
