Me: Yea, coz that extra patch of grassy land will be priced into the house price. That’s why semi-detached home is definitely more expensive than a terrace home but the actual built-up does not necesarily reflect the same yeah. Sometimes, the double-storey terrace may have a bigger built up than a semi-detached unit or it may be almost the same too. Developer will not give that extra piece of land to you for free yeah. They could actually use the land to build more units too.
As the District Director for Term 2023 – 2024 for District 51 Toastmasters International, I will be joining the District Leader Training and also the Annual Convention in The Bahamas. (yes, it’s The Bahamas because it’s a nation of many islands, just like The Philippines). I thought The Bahamas iswithin the U.S. and thus I do not need to apply for a visa because I already have the US visa. Then, when I searched, I realise The Bahamas is an independent country and my US visa does not apply. Then, when I checked further, I found that Malaysian passport holders do not need to apply for a visa. I am happy. I am ready to go.
Until today, I still have friends who continue to think the Malaysian economy is collapsing soon. I wonder what would they really do if that happens. Get an opportunity to buy great assets at super low prices? Property in a popular neighbourhood at the price of a not popular neighbourhood? (yeah, sure…)

I have been to Bali many times. First time was for a Toastmasters’ Conference. Second time was with wife. Third time was with my whole family including my parents, brother, sister and their spouse. Fourth time was with my wife’s family; my in-laws. So, you can safely say I love Bali. In fact I do think I will be back there next year. It will be a toss between Phuket and Bali since I would like to go to Hong Kong too. Cannot afford so many international destinations. Must manage the budget lah. I bought my first high-rise unit in 2003. It was then followed by another high-rise and another and well, high-rise units in 6 cities / towns in Malaysia. A friend thought Hong Kong is still under strict lockdowns. He thought people are still staying home and shops are under restrictions etc. I think I need to explain on behalf of Hong Kong which has just moved into 0+3 travelling arrangement just a few weeks back. I think it’s fair to say that despite some inconveniences from the 0+3 arrangements, it is relatively easy to travel to Hong Kong and even moving around Hong Kong when we are there right from the first day we arrive.
