HLIB: IOI Properties Group should report over RM1 billion headline profit in Q4 2024

My second property in Penang was by an IOI Properties subsidiary company. That was the property which kick-started my property investment journey. I personally believe our property investment journey starts when we buy the second property. If it’s just one, then it’s just a property buy. Note that this is my own definition and I have no idea what other think. Now, there’s some good news with regards to IOI Properties Group.

Some companies prefer to buy assets which can provide stable returns. For example, buying a mall which is has over 85 percent occupancy. Some companies will prefer not to hold too much assets which does not generate returns beyond potential appreciation many years later.

Oh no… Bursa Malaysia is in the red with over 1,000 counters in the red

People buy shares for many reasons. Some believe it’s a good way to earn dividends and thus they will keep these for the long term. Some are buying because of some news saying that ithe price will rise or they have some belief based on their own analysis that the stock price will rise.

Some are full time traders, buying using some formulas or calculations which is derived from historical patterns. Of course there are some who just love the brand and they buy the stock. Some may even be buying because of the free gifts they receive during the shareholder meetings. Haha.

Why companies fall into PN17. Are you holding shares in these companies?

If we buy the bluechip counters, chances are their price is already very close to their intrinsic value and we would just need to feel confident to buy and hold it until it exceeds its current value and the share price would go up further. Personal Finance 101: Time to look at the equities in Malaysia?

Foreign funds may buy. They may push up the prices to the typical higher price earnings ratio. Is this the correct thing to do? Please do remember that they have more funds to hold should things did not go as planned. They could also sell immediately if they found things not to their expectations which could drive prices down suddenly. This is why when we buy these companies, it is more important to understand the business which they do. Read their annual reports at least, maybe?

Personal Finance 101: Investing into fast growth companies and ‘normal’ growth companies

Yesterday, I posted something I love to read but is still unwilling to spend money on it; cars. There is also a chart for upcoming ones too in the top 10 list of brands which are now selling EVs. It used to be a lonely affair for one major brand yeah; Tesla for EVs. Today, we look at both EVs and one particular company which is the number 1 car seller in the world and yet is not even within the top 10 for EV charts.

Financial news: EcoWorld net profit dropped in Q1

Imagine everyone telling you that the property market is going to make a comeback. This is one reason why we should always take note of the financial reporting from property developers. It would be better if many of them if not majority of them are reporting profits. Here’s another one even if the overall number seems to be dropping.
