Property Investment 101: 70 inch LED TVs from 7 brands ranked by price

Why 70 inch TV? Why not bigger or smaller?

Note – this is a research using Shopee as a guide. Why 70 inch TV? Well, 50 inch seems like a little small these days regardless of whether you own a landed home or a high-rise unit yeah. The price of 70 inch TV is also similar to the price of a 50 inch TV just a few years ago. So, it’s like spending the same amount but you get a much larger screen. So, that’s why this article is about 70 inch TVs. If you look at 75 inch and above, you will also notice a sudden jump in price too. So, I will stick to 70 inch today.

There are also NO LINKS within this article to any of the TVs. If you think you like that deal, go to shopee and search for the TV yeah. I do have my preferred brand and it’s SHARP but my current TVs at home are a Philip and a Samsung. Both are not my first choice but somehow I own them today. I do think my next TV is likely to be a Chinese brand. We shall see. Haha.

Every TV would have their own technology, some more advanced than others yeah

A TV sales person told me that Android TV is less advanced than Google TV. I am not here to tell you which one has the best colour or the latest technology or the one which lasts the longest yeah. You just decide based on the brand you like or to find out more about the brand you do not know and then decide yeah. The below are all based on the price. The highest price first and the lowest price last. I will also include the link to the brand’s website so that you can directly click to know more as well.

We will start from the Cheapest to the Most Expensive. Country of Origin is in bracket. Does not mean it’s manufactured there yeah. Among the brands listed below, I have had good experience with LG Washing Machine and Sharp Air-Conditioner.

#1 – Skyworth (China)

Brand website: https://skyworth.com.my/

#2 – Haier (China)

Brand website: https://www.haier.com/my/tvs/

#3 – Hisense (China)

Brand website: https://www.hisense.com.my/

#4 – Samsung (South Korea)

Brand website: https://www.samsung.com/my/tvs/

#5 – LG (South Korea)

Brand website: https://www.lg.com/my

#6 – Sharp (Japan)

Brand Website: https://my.sharp/products/tv

#7 – Philips (Holland)

Brand website: https://www.philips.com.my/c-m-so/tv

Happy selecting your new 70 inch LED TV.

We really need to ensure the targeted group gets the assistance needed

The affordable homes should not be purchased by those who already have properties just so that they could rent these out to the ones who could not afford them even if the prices are already affordable.  Sometimes, if it’s not possible to buy, then rent-to-own schemes must be promoted so that there’s a chance for the renter to own the house in the future.

If this is still not possible, then there must be homes which is owned by the government and the ones who qualify pay a nominal amount to rent them. If this can be done, then at least these poor households could still afford to save money which would have been otherwise spent as rental. Just keep doing everything possible to help these poor households have access to affordable homes. Buy if possible, else rent as cheaply as possible. They are fellow Malaysians too.
