SURIA PARK REINFORCES IJM LAND’S LEGACY IN PUNCAK ALAM
For decades, IJM Land has played a pioneering role in the growth of Bandar Puncak Alam. Long before the township gained recognition as one of Klang Valley’s most promising corridors, IJM Land was among the first to invest in its transformation. From the early stages of housing development to the establishment of vital infrastructure and amenities, the developer has continually shaped the fabric of the community.
This vision continued with Suria Park, a green landmark within Suria Hill that underscores IJM Land’s commitment to building homes while shaping a complete township rooted in wellness, inclusivity, and lasting value. In conjunction with this milestone, IJM Land hosted a Tree Planting Program at Suria Park, bringing together residents, community leaders, and partners to nurture trees that represent growth, unity, and sustainability for future generations.
A SANCTUARY INSPIRED BY THE SUN
Suria Park spans 4.42 acres with a total investment of RM3 million. Its landscape draws inspiration from the sun, Suria, a symbol of vitality, warmth, and renewal. Designed by HODA Design, the park unfolds as a living canvas where colourful shrubs and resilient trees provide shade, strength, and continuity. To safeguard the slopes, deep-rooted trees were selected for their ability to hold the land firmly, while flowering trees bring seasonal bursts of colour and texture that change throughout the year. Sustainability is embedded in the design through earth drains that guide water naturally and environmentally friendly materials that reduce the impact on the land, creating a park that remains resilient and vibrant for the community.
The park is envisioned as a sanctuary for all ages. It offers a wide range of recreational features, including a 400-metre jogging track and 250-metre hiking trails for outdoor enthusiasts, two multipurpose courts for games such as basketball, futsal, badminton, pickleball, and sepak takraw, as well as a skate park and climbing wall for children. Families can enjoy the Suria Children’s Playground, while pet lovers will appreciate the dedicated Cat Park. Outdoor fitness stations and two Suria Gazebos complement shaded resting areas and visitors’ parking bays, creating a complete experience for recreation, leisure, and family bonding.
Accessibility and safety are placed at the forefront of Suria Park’s design. With barrier-free pathways, wheelchair friendly equipment, tactile paving for the visually impaired, and well-lit routes supported by a clear wayfinding system, the park welcomes every visitor and ensures an inclusive environment where all can participate freely and confidently.
Beyond its physical facilities, Suria Park reflects the wider rhythm of Suria Hill. The township will eventually encompass 29 acres of parks and gardens across five phases. Each phase introduces a pocket park, from the Vitality Garden and Sensory Garden to the Sunrise, Joyous, and Spice Gardens, with each space adding its own distinctive character to daily living. A 4.6-kilometre hiking and jogging trail links these green spaces throughout the township, giving residents the freedom to walk, run, or cycle while enjoying panoramic hilltop views. Suria Park is not a standalone feature, but part of a larger living network that defines the identity of Suria Hill.
Datuk Chai Kian Soon, Chief Operating Officer of IJM Land, shared: “At IJM Land, our role has always been to shape townships that grow with families and support their aspirations. Suria Park reflects that vision. It enriches daily life, whether through a morning jog, an evening stroll, or a lively game on the courts. It offers a safe and welcoming space where people can gather, share experiences, and feel part of something larger. This is how we continue our journey with Puncak Alam, a place that has grown hand in hand with IJM Land from the very beginning.”

A LIVING HEART FOR THE COMMUNITY
Suria Park is open to both residents and the wider public, strengthening its role as a communal ground where everyone can gather. Its purpose reaches beyond recreation, as the park is meant to be a heartbeat of daily connection..
Tuan Haji Mohammad Faisal Ismail, Political Secretary to the Minister of Health Malaysia (MOH), remarked: “Suria Park is a clear example of how public spaces can bring lasting value to a community. It invites families, neighbours, and children to come together in a safe and lively setting while strengthening the social fabric of Bandar Puncak Alam. This park sets a positive benchmark for developments in Kuala Selangor and demonstrates how thoughtful planning can transform daily life.”
SURIA HILL: A TOWNSHIP SHAPED BY NATURE AND CONNECTION
The unveiling of Suria Park highlights the larger vision of Suria Hill, a township conceived as a retreat for modern families. Set on 170 acres of elevated terrain at 50 metres above sea level, Suria Hill offers a hilltop living experience with only ten units per acre, reflecting its low-density planning and emphasis on wellness, privacy, and comfort.
The township’s first phase, Soren, launched in March 2025, achieved an 80 percent take-up rate. With a GDV of RM87.9 million, Soren comprises 142 two-storey link homes on 20’x60’ land, marking a milestone in establishing Suria Hill as one of the most desirable addresses in Bandar Puncak Alam. Following this success, IJM Land will soon introduce Sovana, scheduled for a soft launch in February 2026. Sovana will add 96 two-storey link homes built on 20’x70’ land, with a GDV of RM70.9 million. These homes are thoughtfully designed for multigenerational living, with open layouts, upgraded finishes, and EV isolator points, all set within the calm of Suria Hill and adjacent to Suria Park.
Accessibility stands as a cornerstone of Suria Hill. The township enjoys direct connections to Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, the LATAR Expressway, Guthrie Corridor Expressway, Damansara Shah Alam Elevated Expressway DASH, and New Klang Valley Expressway NKVE, offering seamless routes to Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang, Damansara, and Kuala Lumpur. The partially open West Coast Expressway strengthens north-south travel, while the upcoming East Coast Rail Link station, approximately one kilometre away, will connect Puncak Alam to Malaysia’s wider rail network.
Convenience is close at hand. Lotus’s, Econsave, and Jaya Grocer serve daily essentials, while KIP Mall and Elmina Lakeside Mall expand retail, dining, and lifestyle options. Families also benefit from the nearby Universiti Teknologi MARA Puncak Alam Campus and Hospital Al Sultan Abdullah UiTM, providing reliable education and healthcare within easy reach.
With its thoughtful blend of homes, parks, gardens, community programmes, and modern connectivity, Suria Hill reflects IJM Land’s vision of a township where wellness, nature, and human connection guide the rhythm of daily life. A place where families can flourish, where bonds grow stronger, and where every generation can find a sense of belonging.
