Sold for faster development of Senai Airport City

First of all, anyone with a huge piece of land thinking of an even bigger development should not think of doing it alone. It may be better to get more partners which can each offer different expertise, financial resources and thus creating diversity. Senai Airport City Sdn Bhd (SACSB) which is the master developer of Senai Airport City is selling three parcels of land totalling 188.7 acres to IPark Development Sdn B hd for RM370 million. SACSB owns total of 2,718 acres there. This would allow it to pare down its debt at the group level as well as ensuring a faster development for Senai Airport City.

According to MMC managing director Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad, more international investors have also expressed their interest. Under this agreement, Senai Airport City will build the associated and basic infrastructure such as the sewerage drainage and utility services. This proposal will give MMC a gain of RM153.5 million.SACSB is the master developer for the integrated industrial development in Senai Airport City.
Senai Airport City was also the site for data centres. In fact there are already three in progress or in planning today. The company, Puncak Semangat has  started building its data centre in Senai in December last year. It is going to be built on 233 sq m of land costing RM30 million. The second phase of the Synergycloud Data Centre will be built on a 5.3ha site in Senai Airport City. These data centres would be positioned to attract firms in Singapore and southern Johor keen to lower their IT costs. When ready, this project will be the largest data and cloud computing centre in southern Malaysia. Besides these two, a second data-centre hub will be built in Sedenak, Johor. This will be by ‘international investors,’ according to Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled, the MB of Johor.
I think this Senai Airport City should be on the right track. There are actually some residential projects within Senai too. perhaps I should drop by again in the near future.
