Press Release: International Workplace Group (IWG) Launches Malaysia’s First Regus Express workspace in Partnership with Crowne Plaza KLCC
International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest platform for hybrid work with brands including Regus and Spaces, has launched Malaysia’s first Regus Express at Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).
Located in Kuala Lumpur’s central business district along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, the 148 square meter workspace is designed as a compact, hotel-based working environment focused on mobility and convenience. It is within a 10-minute walk of MRT and LRT stations, offering citywide connectivity, and is located near embassies, dining and retail districts, as well as key landmarks including the Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The launch comes amid continued global expansion by International Workplace Group, which delivered its highest ever revenue, cash flow, and earnings growth in Q1 2026. The company now operates 48 centres nationwide under its Signature, HQ, Regus and Spaces brands, with 36 located Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, reflecting its growing footprint in Malaysia’s flexible workspace market.
Building on this expansion, the introduction of the Regus Express hotel-integrated workspace combines IWG’s global platform with the hotel’s premium hospitality network to serve business travelers and corporate professionals, as demand for flexible working continues to rise both globally and locally. This trend is further supported by industry forecasts suggesting flexible workspaces could account for up to 30% of commercial real estate by 2030, as businesses increasingly adopt hybrid and agile workplace strategies.
Mark Dixon, CEO & Founder of International Workplace Group PLC, commented, “Kuala Lumpur is an excellent fit for our continued expansion in Malaysia, strengthening our presence in an established market and introducing the Regus Express brand. As demand continues to grow for more flexible, capital-light workspace solutions, we are well positioned to support businesses with greater choice, efficiency and access to high-quality workspaces through this latest opening.”
Vijayakumar Tangarasan, IWG Country Head for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, added, “The KLCC area remains one of Kuala Lumpur’s most sought-after business districts, and this landmark launch allows us to meet the rapidly growing demand for flexible workspace solutions in an exceptionally connected and strategic location. As corporate Malaysia shifts away from traditional fixed office leases toward capital-light, agile strategies, businesses require premium spaces that match their pace. This collaboration with Crowne Plaza KLCC establishes a new benchmark for prime real estate utilization, delivering a highly connected, productive environment that seamlessly blends core business functionality with luxury lifestyle amenities.”
As part of the partnership, IWG members will have access to preferential rates on food and beverage offerings, room bookings, and banquet packages at Crowne Plaza KLCC, subject to registration through the IHG application.
This collaboration reflects International Workplace Group’s ongoing expansion of hotel-integrated workspaces globally, as it continues to scale its network of more than 5,000 flexible workspaces across 120 countries.
