FIABCI Malaysia President YM Tengku Dato’ Ab. Aziz Tengku Mahmud congratulated the winners and pointed out that the Award serves as a stage for the developers to showcase their development projects of excellence, as well as an opportunity for the developers to prove their ability and strength in the industry. He hoped that the Award would motivate the developers to continue developing more excellent projects, taking the community’s benefit into account, “I do not hope that the design and concept of a project to be a demagogical practice for the developers to attract more buyers, instead the constant desire and effort to develop excellent projects that benefit not only the community, but also to the environment should serve as a keystone for them whenever they develop a project.” Ab. Aziz added.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Dr Yu Kee Su, the Secretary General of FIABCI Malaysia cum the Organising Chairman of the Award was proud that more and more local development projects are transcending beyond expectation, which makes the judging process harder each year. However, he was glad that the overall quality of the Award was not compromised though they had a hard time deciding the winners. He emphasized that the Award was conducted in a professional manner and that includes every single stage of the judging process, from beginning to the end. “The judging process of Malaysia Property AwardTM is not based on ones’ choice or favour, instead the judging criteria and process are conducted in an overall manner by evaluators, jury members, and independent judges based on the entire quality, even their preparatory stage and marketing strategy.” said Yu.
Yu urged more developers from all sizes to participate in the Award, “We wish to see more active participation from other developers of all sizes, including the medium and small sizes. We hope that the developers can understand that the Award’s objective is to ‘Recognise Excellence in Real Estate Development’, the size is not a matter”.
Both Ab. Aziz and Yu were glad to announce that five of the last year Malaysia Property AwardTM winning development projects won the World Prix d’ Excellence Awards which was held in Malaysia in May this year, and they are expecting greater victory from Malaysian development projects when the winners of Malaysia Property AwardTM 2015 proceed to vie with development projects from other countries in the World Prix d’ Excellence Awards next year which will be held in Panama City, Panama in May 2016.
