Waiting to dine-in? Ready to dine-in? You have the money but not the place? 20th August 2021 is the day when people could dine-in IF they have been fully vaccinated. Definition as below.
According to caretaker Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Malaysia has reached the threshold of having 50% of its adult population fully vaccinated. Therefore, there is now a further relaxation of standard operating procedures (SOP) under the National Recovery Plan (NRP). This has been agreed upon at the National Security Council (NSC) meeting on Thursday (Aug 19 2021).
Fully vaccinated individuals will now be allowed to dine-in. This is applicable even for states under NRP Phase 1. The meaning of fully vaccinated meant that you have received the full doses (Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Sinovac) and it’s already 14 days after the second dose. If you are one of those who took CanSino, Johnson & Johnson, then it’s 28 days after the jab.

It’s not just dine-in yeah.
Sports activities are allowed for jogging, taichi, cycling, skateboarding, hiking, tennis (singles), badminton (singles) etc. Camping is also allowed too. Pasar Malam and Pasar Minggu are also open for anyone who’s fully vaccinated. I personally think it will be super hard to ensure SOP compliance in these pasar malam or pasar minggu. Please really think thrice and only go if there are really no other choices. This is not like dine in where the distance between table can be determined yeah.
To all the fully vaccinated ones, happy enjoying this new flexibility. PLEASE NOTE that there are no such thing as fully vaccinated means would not get infected yeah. The probability will always be there and this has been shown in all countries regardless of what brand of the vaccine which they have access too and that includes even that one everyone think if the best vaccine brand. (totally not true by the way). Hopefully we can reach 60% by end of August.
