Article in themalaysianreserve.com All public recreational parks in the states under Phase One of the National Recovery Plan (PPN) will be allowed to reopen for leisure activities to ensure the well-being of the people and reduce mental health stress, effective Aug 16.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, “The public is only allowed to visit public recreational parks in the neighbourhood. Do not travel interstate or interdistricts to go to other recreational parks.”
At the same time, he also reminded the local authorities (PBT) and related agencies to be responsible for monitoring the compliance of SOPs in the public recreational parks involved to ensure that they are implemented in accordance with the rules set to avoid any harm. Reminder – It’s not just going to any park you like
Please go only to the public parks nearby your neighbourhood. Else, expect a fine if caught. Secondly, please be reminded that even if we are fully vaccinated, there is still chance for infection even if much smaller versus the unvaccinated. Over 80% of all new infections are for the ones without vaccinations. However, it has been shown that full vaccinations protect against hospitalisation.
Still, be careful, follow the SOPs and do note that you like to exercise to stay healthy. You are not going to the park to have chit-chats with friends without social distancing and endangering everyone else. Thanks and happy exercising.
