Information from wikipedia: “Sea Life Centres are a chain of commercial sealife-themed attractions. As of April 2017 there are 53 Sea Life attractions (including standalone Sea Life centres, mini Sea Life features within resort theme parks, and Legoland submarine rides) around the world. The chain is owned by the British company, Merlin Entertainments.”
Somehow, despite the 53 centres all over the world, there’s none in Malaysia as at 2018. By middle of 2019 though, we will have SEA LIFE Malaysia located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru. Article in Edgeprop.my here. It aims to engage and inspire children to learn, love and care for the ocean. The double-storey aquarium is located next to Legoland Malaysia Theme Park, Legoland Water Park and Legoland Hotel, occupying 2,123 square metres of land space. It is a six-metre long and 2.1-metre wide clear ocean tunnel surrounded by 385,000 litres of water and will be set in a replica of the historic shipwreck site.
While visitors walk through the tunnel, they will be immersed with stories of the ship’s journey and discover lost treasures of the ocean, while being surrounded by a plethora of marine life, including stingrays, zebra sharks, blacktip reef sharks, seahorses and jelly fish. SEA LIFE Malaysia will have more than 25 display tanks in 11 habitat zones hosting over thousands of sea creatures. Article in Edgeprop.my here.
Ready for lots of fun with SEA LIFE Malaysia? Then, it’s time to plan a couple of days in JB. One day is enough only for Legoland. Another day is needed for SEA LIFE followed by a lot of other attractions. Mothers could shop in Johor Premium Outlet. (An earlier review here) Happy visiting and yea, the accommodation choices are aplenty.
