The event began with the usual formalities followed by a ribbon-cutting and plaque signing ceremony officially marking the completion of construction of Wesley Methodist School, Bandar Seri Coalfields. After the ceremony, the convoy also took time to embark on a brief walkabout around the school led by Senior General Manager, Operations of KLK Land Sdn Bhd (“KLK Land”), Mr. Prakash Prasannan.

The establishment of the school is in line with KLK Land’s commitment towards building vibrant communities through education. Tan Sri Lee Oi Hian, in his remarks during the ceremony, said that “Having a reputable education provider like Wesley Methodist School in Bandar Seri Coalfields will be an exciting time for our township and provide a catalyst for the surrounding communities to grow. The school’s entry is very timely and stamp our commitment to continuously transform communities and contribute to the nation building process.” KLK Land had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with the Council of Methodist School back in September 2016, to develop a private school at Bandar Seri Coalfields.

Under the MoU, the phase 1 of the school comprises a block of Kindergarten and a block of Primary school.
